Well I just got off the phone with Brownell's. I purchased their base pin puller to help me remove the cylinder base pin.

Man!!! This is a new Colt SAA and that pin will come out about(while pressing the release pin) 2 inches then it gets tough to pull.

In the future, when the pin is out...do I oil the pin, put graphite on it, or put it back dry. Over time, the pin will get easier to remove...right?

Thanks!

First check the fit of the pin through the cylinder bushing.
Then check the fit of the pin in the frame without the cylinder.
This is to detect a possible burr or tight spot somewhere that's causing it to hang up.

Always lubricate the pin. Use a good grease or an oil like CLP Breakfree. Graphite is not really a good gun lubricant.
