Colt SAA clones

I
Back in the 90's I looked at all of the clones, had three SAA's of that era. But eventually decided ASM was the closest to original Colt SAA. Most first Gen parts fit it.

Thought about having it bone charcoal color cased sometime .That's really about all it needed.
I was hoping someone would mention this one. I have an early BP frame EMF three digit Hartford Artillery Model and it is dead on to a 1st Gen Colt. When the barrel was off once a 2nd Gen barrel screwed on perfectly. Unfortunately internal parts are poorly heat treated and very soft. Same with two other ASMs I had. Mine now has a Colt 2nd Gen hammer and trigger in it.

The original 1st Generation Hartford Model like I showed in post #4 was made by ASM of Gardone. Dimensionally they are very very close to Colt 1st Gen specifications.
Barrels interchange, cylinders, most other parts can be fit. Mine had the extra notch basepin which I removed and installed Colt SAA pin . Did an basic action job on mine when new and haven't been inside it since 95.
At one time I was going to have it bone charcoal color case but I like the faux case just fine . It's not a Colt so I'm OK with that as is. Now if it starts wearing out I would see customizing it maybe.
My late 80s Hartford Model shown earlier had the longer cylinder base pin so if you push it in and secure it the firing pin can’t reach the primer. I cut off a little bit from the rear and rounded it off. Now the pin sits deeper and looks like a Colt’s.
