Colt SAA clones

Here is another SAA clone I came across today. It's an EMF Hartford model with a BP frame and the Colt like grips they were offering as an option. The end label was kind of washed out but the word Premium or Premier was partially visible. The revolver obviously has real case hardening not the chemical case colors so many of these clone have. I believe the revolver to be at least 30 years old. Should make a good shooter. View attachment 919913

This looks like an American Western Arms.

My gun shown here was imported by Liberty Arms, Costa Mesa California, a company that existed for just a few years in the late 1960's and early 1970's. It is their "Nevada" model with a 5 and 1/2 inch barrel and in .357 caliber. It has been estimated that it only a few hundred of these guns were sold. They were made by Armi Jager, known in later years for their "Dakota" line. This gun was made in 1969 and is in 95% condition. Exceptional condition for a gun almost 50 years old. The Armi Jager guns at this time had a great deal of hand fitting and finishing. This is reflected in the beauty of the finish and the smooth action. These guns appear in spaghetti westerns of the period and can be noted by their brass grip and trigger guard.

I have one, mine is 44-40. these are built on a .44 Magnum frame, at least mine is.
My friend had one in .357, that was a true Colt clone, mine is not.
I had another Armi Jager years ago, it had the Iver Johnson brand on it, .357, adjustable sights.

EMF, Armi Jager, 44-40,

I had an AWA, it was a nice-looking SA, but the bolt screw hole was out of spec. I could not even hit the target with it.
The instruction manual was nothing more than a photo copy of colt's instruction manual.
