Welcome to the forum.

Pretty amazing pre war Colt. Especially the fact this gun was gone over by colt back in 1927 and custom tuned with the process they called "easy action" MAKING THE ACTION SMOOTH AS SILK. Also done by colt at the same time was "targeting at 30 yards". Both these Procedures were very rare OPTIONS and are referenced in the letter.

That is spectacular!, and from my favorite era of SAAs ('tween wars). But I'd never want to own it, even if I could afford it; that's one Colt that I'd never shoot and it would drive me crazy not being able to.

Beat regards,

Question, shouldn't there be a serial number on the trigger guard?

If I could afford to buy it I could afford to shoot it.

It would be under the right grip. Colt discontinued the SN on the front of the trigger guard in front of the trigger bow in 1919.
