Colt SAA First Generation (32-20) questions

I am a complete novice to Colt SAA's, and have just rec'd in trade a Colt SAA, First Generation circa
1912. The piece retains about 60%blue on bbl and cylinder and considerable case color remnants
(changing to gray) on receiver. My question(s) are: the piece has a 4-3/4 " bbl with a single address line and
a front sight that is not rounded along the back of the sight. Is this correct for this model? The hammer has only "3 clicks" when engaged. Does this mean that the hammer is not original?

This is an intermediate Colt Smokeless powder model, Ser. #321654 (all matching). Grips are hard rubber
with rampant Colt logo with minor wear. The bore is shiny and the gun sequences properly and locks up tight.

Your comments and recommedations would be greatly appreciated.

The barrel should have a two line address on the top. It could be a cut down from a longer barrel. What is the cal marking on the side of the barrel? 32 WCF or 32-20. There should be 4 clicks. Sounds like there is some issues with the notches on the hammer. Can you post some pics?

There are only three clicks of the hammer. The fourth click is the bolt snapping into place.

Greetings

I love to shoot 32/20. So if you need some help with "CowBoy" type loads let me know. I use mainly Trail Boss. Finding a replacement barrel should not be a major problem---price $50 to about $150. I would have the pistol checked out for Barrel gap---but replace the barrel and they will do that for you. I would think that a 1912 Model would probably be able to shoot most modern ammo---but to reload them cost about $7.50 or less to reload. Hammer can be fixed for about $75 or less. IF you plan on keeping the pistol you should probably "LETTER" the pistol first to determine the original cal. and Barrel length. Many times when people changed the Barrel they changed the Caliber also. Check it out first or sell it to me Ha Ha !!

This bbl has "32 WCF" on left side of bbl.
Thanks Bob...I can only detect three notches.
Thanks Ronin....good advice...Colt Lettter in works..will post pics when letter arrives. Any idea what value would be in current condition?
Four clicks can be difficult to detect- the last two sometimes are right on top of each other, or close enough to not matter.
