Early box. I had August. Nice display. What's the serial range of the gun?

The Colt is #139xx, and the box is from April. I've seen a few April boxes but never an August.

Shown before but seems to fit here ----

When I was 16 (1940) I drove my G-parents from OK to Fayette Co. TX to visit the place of their birth. Visiting my G-aunt I was pleased when she brought out this Colt SAA .38-40, saying "I'm sure Uncle Dave would want you to have this" -- and gave it to me.

I have it and have cherished it ever since. Dating from early 1900s (s/n 265ks) shown here and in the holster of my Mom's cousin, dated from ca 1915, taken on their ranch in the Davis mountains in West Texas.
