Try not to think about how thin they are under the bolt cut out notches.:p

Best regards,
Yes,but aren’t the notches offset a little,looks like more steel,there ?

I always wondered why some Colt SAA's have thick top straps like the nickel one above.^^^^^^^^^ Is it from the 1990's?
By serial my Nickel in the picture is 2003. Pete
2 45s and a revolver in each hand!

Pulled these grips off EBay. After dark stain and lacquering up they look totally different. One of my two, only 45 Colt SAA with 4-3/4” barrels. This Blued one is a dual cylinder job,the other is nickel. Pete

More pics of my late 3rd Gen SAA. IMHO from about 35000 up to present are best looking and have the removable cylinder bushing, the few that have passed thru or stayed in my hands were impeccable action wise, also. Pete

My BCH 45 is missing both it’s cylinders while be worked on by L.A. Bill. Discovered the nickel cylinders from my other 45 fit right in,although
looks like to much endshake to where I would shoot them. Some might like the look, for me not so much 😤. Pete
