Wow some more beautiful Colts shown.
Thanks for sharing.
Had to come back for another look. I'm always greeted by some great pictures of Colts.
I really enjoy packing one in the hills & the .44WCF is becoming one of my favorite calibers.
Thanks for sharing everyone I really enjoy looking.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Frank
This is my Frontier Six Shooter, rebuilt with a modern barrel, cylinder, grips, etc. Also, a lot of welding to fix dished out screw holes and general over polishing. I couldn't get the etching on the other side of the barrel yet, so it's bare.
Here is my only Colt Single action. It's in .45 Colt and was assembled in 1883 and shipped October 30th of that year to Simmons Hardware in St. Louis , MO.
I cast my own .454 250 grain LYMAN bullets and load them with 30 grains of ffg, which although not compressed, fills the case well and is pleanty powerful for use around here. I sometimes wear my gun belt outside when I'm working away from the house because there just isn't any lawman around here for 30 miles. Our nearest neighbor is 3/4 of a mile away. Lots of shiester salesmen with a criminal history come driving through our gates past our Stay Away signs.
