We are currently watching for a 22 cal single action revolver. It was mentioned in an earlier post, regarding the later revolvers (new frontier, frontier scout, peacemaker, etc) that some of these guns had an alloy frame. The post also sounded like these alloy frames may be weaker to scratches and physical damage. Can anyone tell me what these frames are made of? And how I can the difference? Also, which guns have these frames?

I would probably search for steel, and I would like to know which ones have that... and how I can tell.

Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
