This pair of Colt Single Action Army revolvers was damaged in a house fire and in need of a good restoration. No problem! Here at Custom Shop, we will do our magic on these guns and return them to the owner looking just like the day they came from the Colt factory.

Details on the possible cause of damage from house fire

We don't always receive information on how a customer's gun was damaged and rarely do we receive specific details. So, because of all the comments and interest in these two Colt Single Action Army revolvers that were damaged in a house fire, we contacted the owner to learn more. Here's what he had to say:

The guns in his safe were the only possessions that survived the fire. Everything else in his home was destroyed! When the fire department finally arrived, the owner directed them to begin spraying the safe to cool it down. Because of the heat, he believes that some of the water entered the safe via the door which seemed to buckle a bit due to the intense heat. The water seems to be the most logical culprit that caused the spots and streaks on the two revolvers. Many live rounds in magazines discharged during the fire causing additional damage. Some plastic grips completely melted, while others were intact. The two subject SAA revolvers were stored hanging on the inside of the door. The guns stored in the upper part of his safe had the worst damage, whereas the ones in the bottom fared the best.
