I have a blued early New Service Target with pearl stocks - all confirmed by an archive letter. However the stock screw is blue so I'm not completely sure that is correct. Is that how blued Colts with factory pearls (no medallions) came in those days? Do other guys have Colts like that? Thanks

I have pearl stocks on a 1906 blued/cc SAA. Screw was obviously blued, although somewhat faded now. It certainly wasn't nickeled.

Here's mine. I checked it and three other NSs, all from 1902 to 1915 in similar condition, all others original black grips. One in the teens is nickel, all others blue. Considering the New Service was made in huge numbers over many years, it would be likely the screws could vary.
