Data needed on Colt M1909 Army Revolvers

I need some help from the Forum on a research project about Colt M1909 Army revolvers. If anyone has lettered their M1909 Army (serial range 30,000 - 50,000), and it has shipping date information, I would appreciate you sending me the following:
  • Full serial number
  • Shipping date
  • Number of guns in shipment
  • Ejector rod knob type (3 section knurled [usual], 2 section knurled, 2 section plain, 2 section - front knurled/back plain, etc.)
  • Acceptance stamp (RAC, FB, WGP, Colt verified proof)
  • Condition (Anything you wish to add)

If you prefer Private Messaging instead of posting in this thread, that's fine. All of my research databases contain nothing that allows anyone, including me, to link a particular gun to its owner.

Thanks,

Buck

Buck

I am waiting for a letter on mine but will be happy to share the info as soon as I receive it.
Tag....I will be picking one up off of layaway in a couple of weeks and will get you info.
Won't bother lettering mine as it has been rebuilt with a Colt New Service barrel. If you want what data that I do have you are welcome to it. Seems silly to waste the money for the letter on a noncollectable piece. It is still a Model 1909 U.S.Army, just not what the collector's want. Just like the M1911's that CMP is offering, will venture that every one of those has been rebuilt at least once in it's lifetime.
If you're still collecting data..
Buck passed away several months ago but I am sure others will appreciate your information.
