I have a Detective Special with all the signs of being a 2nd issue model, however it was made in 1975 according to the serial #M1503-. It is my understanding that they went to the 3rd issue in 1973 with the shrouded ejector rod. I am not as fimiliar with Colt revolvers is this normal?

Which one (in the photo below) does it look like: top (3rd issue), or bottom (2nd issue)?

It looks like the bottom. It is a 32 with wrap under wood grips and exposed ejector rod.

The gun is at 99% with no box or papers. Do you have an idea of current value?
