...that's definitely got a Python polish job...
And the "soft" lines sadly found too often on highly-polished Colts. Someone had the gun refinished in a high-polish blue. There were a couple of special-run Colts that were originally finished in the high-polish blue, but I think they had special roll marks of some kind, so this revolver is not likely one of those.

Its been for sale for (it seems like) forever. Price is obviously too much - If you had a decent DS and paid say $425 for it and sent it innto Colt for the royal blue finish I dont think it would cost you another $1000 to get it refinished. Maybe a couple hundred dollars? so you might have a total of $625 or maybe $725? in it,not $1500.

It sure looks nice though.

I THINK THE SELLER REALLY LIKES CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!

All of his auctions seem to be in caps with liberal sprinkling of exclamation. I also find the "wall of text" in all his listings to be somewhat offputting.

Seriously, I'm sure it is one of a kind, probably because it was a factory refinish as several smarter than I have suggested. The pictures do look very nice though, but the price is a bit over the top. Since I am not a collector (merely an "accumulator"), all my guns wind up getting shot, so no way I'd shell out that kind of money and then shoot it or carry it regularly.
