Hi all,I'm new to the forum. I only own one Colt, but I'm thinking about selling it to buy a different Colt. Hopefully you all can help me out here. I have a Python that I bought a few years ago. I am contemplating selling it and I want to know how to accurately determine the value. The serial number is 38xxx, which from my research shows to be a 1964 model. It is in good condition- perfect working order, but has slight holster wear throught the blueing on the end of muzzle and a slight turn ring on the cylinder. From what I have seen for sale it looks to me that it's value is $1400-$1700. Is this a correct estimate? How do I verify if I have something "special" or not? Is there a resource that you can recommend so that I can determine the correct value? Any advise that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the party pal.Your assessment of the value based on your description would be about right. It's really hard to be of much help without photos to view.As far as having something special it's a Python so it qualifies.D*

That looks like a nice shooter to me, but the pics lack a lot of detail (hard to do with forum pics sometimes, ask me how I know lol) That is about the range I have seen them sell for lately, and I have been looking pretty hard. I did pick up a e series 4" nickel recently for 1420.00 and it was in about 97% condition
