Have the target style grips, used on the Colt Diamondback, always been made out of checkered wood-or, were some, made out of plastic(But, appeared, to look like wood?)? If some were made of plastic(Then, what years(Or, S/N ranges?)were these "Substituted" for real wood?

Diamondbacks always came with wood stocks, although some years the stocks were IMHO a very light cruddy looking wood, if you could still call it "wood".

Now Colt38 what you need to do is stop wasting time and get off the internet and go buy those two Diamondbacks before someone else comes along and steals them out from underneath you. Go man Go!
