different rampant Colts

I have searched this question but have not found much. There are at least four rampant Colts logos. Can someone tell me the significance among them? They all have the Colt with the arrow (or spear, which?) in his mouth. Some have the spear behind his knees. There are differences in the angle if the spear. What do they mean or is it just whimsy? Thanks

I remember seeing these in one of my books and have always been meaning to ask someone this. For example, One of my Colt SAA's is made in the early 1960's, the "Rampant Colt" on the left side of the fram matches exactly with the 1979 photo of the "Rampant Colt" Any idea why it would be that one and not an earlier "Rampant Colt"
