I have an affinity for SAAs in .38 Special. Perhaps because they are somewhat rare. That barrel length gives a very interesting look to the SAA. For absolutely no reason that makes sense, I like it more when chambered in .38 than .45.
I think the 38s and 44s balance better in hand than the 4" .45s.sixguns said:......For absolutely no reason that makes sense, I like it more when chambered in .38 than .45.
Unfortunately, I don't. I picked up the gun Tuesday and I've been under the weather this week, so I haven't done any real research yet.I suspect the total production on that variant is very low (250??). Do you have that information?
Wow, Ben! Coming from you, that's like Sinatra praising another singer. You have excellent taste in firearms Tim !!
Well, you do have that engraved 38-40 I like so much.Good going finding that! I had one of the 4" specials in .38-40. I've tried several times to buy it back without luck. Seems the guy I sold it to is smarter than me.
