DSC purchased ord stamped OP

This little fellow, Official Police #717446, is civilian in all respects save for the small ordnance logo on the upper left side frame.
I suspect this is one of the 5,000 that the government purchased before switching to the cheaper Commando model revolvers.
The only reason I stopped to examine this gun is because I saw the ordnance logo. If the gun had been in the case with the left side of the frame face down, I would have walked right on by!
