Ive noticed that 1st and 2nd gen screws are not interchangeable. However, I have a few ejector tube screws that are 1st gen. and also fit my 2nd gen. Is the ejector tube screws interchangeable or perhaps has the female part (in the 2nd gen) that is in the barrel been changed? THANKS

1st and 2nd gen screws do not interchange. 2nd and 3rd gens do.

The 1st gen housing screw is a 6x38, 2nd & 3rd gens are 6x40. Check you screw thread with a thread gauge to know for sure what you have. If you do indeed have 1st gen housing screws 6x38 that fit your 2nd gen barrel, most likely someone has screwed a 1st gen screw into your 2nd gen barrel stud and upset the threads. I doubt that the female stud was changed. You may be able to very carefully screw in a proper 6x40 screw with lubrication and upset the threads back again.
