Hi Gang,
At the risk of running afoul of forum rules, I thought you might be interested to read that one of Elvis' Colts is coming up for sale. I have no financial interest here and the only reason I'm posting this is that the fact that Elvis owned this is kinda cool. GWS Auctions is running the sale, and seeing that they aren't known for Colts I thought this interesting piece may have slipped under the radar
Elvis Presley's Personally Owned 1903 Colt Single Action Army 38 Special W/LOA and Letter From Priscilla Presley - This Colt Single Action Army 38 Special belonged to Elvis Presley. In addition to being a talented performer and actor, Elvis had a variety of hobbies, including his love of guns. Elvis is reported to have owned 32 handguns, a shotgun, and a machine gun during his lifetime. His weapons featured ornate and intricate designs befitting of his grandiose style, and this particular weapon is no different. This single action revolver has a gold plated, fully engraved design with a handle made of exotic composition. The serial number dates to 1903. The gun will come with a copy of an original notarized letter of provenance from Jody McQueen, which states that the gun was purchased from the Circle G Ranch auction. The gun also comes with a letter from Priscilla Presley.
