eNickel or Hard Chrome DS

Took a chance and picked this up cheap online with the possibility of it being eNickel. Serial number is consistent with the eNickel DS run, S24xxx. Upon receipt, I'm leaning more towards hard chrome. What is the consensus of the forum?

It's hard for my eyes to tell from the photos and lighting, but it's most likely e-nickel. If you look at it in natural light, e-nickel tends to have a slight golden hue to it...hard crome is more silver.

Yours is the same configuration as my Dick Special in e-nickel...with standard walnut stocks.
Looks like e-nickel to me also. Don't have one ,but I do have the limited production DS with factory bobbed hammer, tritium front sight insert, DA only trigger job, and hard chrome finish. It doesn't have the same "look" as the finish on mine. Congrats on a really nice find. Hope the price was right.
It's hard to tell nickle by itself. But if you put it next to something you know is chrome, it's more yellow or golden colored. Find something chrome to place beside it, and look in different light. Chrome is bluish white, on the right here:

Lighting and background sometimes makes it difficult to determine the small differences in true color tones but I'll go with the OP's opinion; Hard Chrome. Here's a set that I've posted before using a black background.

I wouldn’t know e-nickel if I tripped over it, but that is a nice revolver. Congrats on getting it at a good price. I wish that I had known about the Colt Forum sooner and maybe I would not have paid what I did for some of my Colts.
