Having acquired a M1903 w/pearl stocks I ordered and received molded stocks from NC Ordinance adding the 2 escutcheons with screw. Maybe I missed the fine print but the escutcheons need to be filed down to fit the width of the molded stock/panels as they are too long. Mind you the stocks are tapered so the filing needs to be done more on the downward area (towards the mag release). Anybody have some tips, tricks or techniques that I can use to accomplish this "filing to fit" procedure?

As always I appreciate your input :)

I had the same problem with some walnut stocks I ordered from them. I found an old screw that fit the escutcheon and clamped it in a vise, threaded on the escutcheon, and ground it down with a Dremel. Just taper your grind to match the curve of the stocks.
