20 bucks and a bogus set of grips lol. My friend came to show off his great buy and I told him they were fake. He bet me 20 bucks and the grips that I was wrong, and you guys have now confirmed what I tried showing him and he refused to accept, from me anyway. Now what do I do with these grips.....

Brass hardware and imitation medallions give these away immediately, not to mention the coarse checkering that looks like nothing I have seen from Colt's factory.

take the 20 but give him back the grips, he feels bad enough that he bought fake grips

Those things couldn't be more phony if it had a chinstrap.
I don't like the shape of the top, and the medallions are typical Indonesian bricabrack.
The butt and the checkering isn't bad, though.

I think you should list them on gunbroker and put in the narrative that you and the colt custom shop are the only ones who can get these grips and try and get $150 for them. Hell, the other guy is doing it why not you? Maybe he will buy a set from you.

The stocks are absolutely, positively, without a doubt genuine stocks.

They are not, however, genuine Colt factory stocks.

Although not real might be good to put on and put the real ones in a box when you go shooting if they fit O.K.

Oh I do not have anything they would fit lol. Not sure what I am going to do with them, Chris doesn't want them since they are not real.
