She would make a great walmart greeter. Or better yet she would be a great walmart bouncer for getting rid of the dress code violaters.

Even though we are supposed to be okay with open Carry here in Las Vegas...I myself would not dare to try it in Walmart or any other Box Store.

Heck, I have never once tried it "period"...

But, if I ever decide I want my face mashed into a 135 degree Sidewalk by a Boot and to have my Arm twisted out of it's socket, and Cops SCREAMING garbled contradictory 'Commands' at me, ( like, you know, the usual, one screaming "DROP TRHE WEAPON!!!" and the other, screaming "GET YOUR HANDS UP!!!!" and another, screaming "GET ON THE GROUND!!" and whoever among them feels the least satisfied with the response, gets to shoot first! ) and by then, the Helicopter buzzing and droning overhead, or worse, I will give it a whirl...

Lol...

Till then, I am all about 'CCW'...

Was in Wall-Mart a little after two this afternoon, saw two different people open carry. Didn't see anyone one giving them even a second look. Me, I kept my shirt untucked and went about my business.

It's not that..CCW classes teach in Las Vegas this mentality...Why because Las Vegas is a destination resort with all sorts of people...Some are even anti Gun. The biggest problem is someone calling the police regarding a man with a gun..Imagine Saturday afternoon August about 4 pm on the Strip ? Suddenly there is a mass confusion and a disturbance of the Status Quo. That type of hysteria will land you in jail. NOT for carrying but because you disturbed the peace. Oxymoron really..Peace in Las Vegas...That is why I referred to the Status Quo.

Hotel/Casino security gets a bit nervous as well. You don't run their nose in it and nobody bothers you.

Even though open carry is fully legal here, and I know the police won't taze you for carrying. I still like the concealed avenue. Ruffles so fewer feathers.

Is that even in a Walmart? I don't remember their shelf tags, especially the sale ones, looking like that. And don't their sale prices usually end in .02 or .04, or something other than .99? I think this is some supermarket out west based on the signs in the background.

Next, Condition 3 carry? Or possibly Condition 2? Ok, to each their own. Yeah, I realize it's probably a posed picture.

While not opposed to open carry, I do agree with the sentiments expressed above. This picture got me thinking about it a little, and here's some of the stuff I stumbled across online:

Unarmed man attempts to rob EMU student of holstered gun

The Perils of Open Carry | Active Response Training

Something to think about, especially if you haven't had weapons retention training. Heck, even if you do carry concealed, still pays to be cautious.

I think some folks are wrapped too tight...This picture is not about open carry vs concealed carry; a subject which in my humble opinion has been beat to death.:bang_wall:

This is about countering all those stupid email photos many of us get about the outrageously dressed folks who visit Wal-Marts !
Enjoy the moment, who cares what condition the pistol is in or whether or not it was staged or where it was taken...;)..Hell it may not even be a Colt...Sheesh

Actually the last time I was in AZ I was sitting by the cash registers waiting for my Parents to finish their shopping. When along comes a little gray haired woman sporting a large and well worn cowboy hat, denim shorts, well worn cowboy boots and a large semi auto pistol in a holster! No one seemed to even notice. I just thought to my self "mmm I wonder what she's carryin'"
But I agree the above picture doesn't look like a WalMart, but looks more like the Kroger Store I was in while in AZ.

That is a Kroger store, wrong colors to be a Walmart on the inside also wrong signage.

That was my initial thought.
