Just got these fitted at Eagle Grips this afternoon. Gun is a box stock (except for some bobbing of the hammer spur) Colt series 70, Grips were made by Art Jewel Enterprizes predecessor of Eagle Grips.

They're beauties! Remember when a reporter asked Gen. Patton about the pearl stocks on his SAA? He supposedly said "These are ivory boy, pearl are only used by pimps in New Orleans bordellos".

I'm not quite that old yet(57 in August). Patton died before I was born. But I do remember reading about this incident. And, I do like the mother of pearl that I saw up at Eagle Grips today, while having these fitted? George and I must differ on this one?

I'm really not a collector of things like this but, came by them right. Don't think I'll leave them on a gun, too nice for that and I don't want to take the chance of something happening to them. My first impression of them, when I saw them was, these things belong in a museum. Eagle was hesitant to fit them to this gun, because of age.
