What is the proper finish and grips on a 1953 Colt Government Commercial Model? Any help is appreciated.

TIA

The "proper" finish is the original finish. In a 1953 original finish, the flats have a near-mirror level of polish, and the horizontal surfaces are matte. The stocks are dark brown Coltwood.

(Apologies to anyone offended by my "delivery.")

That is what I was thinking judge. The one I seen was parkerized, and I did not figure it was correct. Thank you for the response. I should have been more clear in what I was asking. By proper finish I meant original finish. Thank you for wading through unclear question.
