I have my first Colt. It is an Officers Model .22 lr w/wood grips. I doubt if they are original. However is has only moderate wear at worst. I have it on layaway right now. What history or reputation does the revolver have?

And of course I'd like to acquire a 95%+ 4" Python. I will call that my current wish gun. It had been a S&W 627 2.5 brl. but I have that now.

I look forward to some information, good or bad.
