Just curious if you had to describe what you got scammed on to your credit card company? Makes me wonder how long it’ll before they deny claims related to GUNS.

I attempted to purchase this python and 1 other gun( colt series 70 government) from Jerry Cash aka Rolley, when we went to pms to arrange payment he wanted a money order, i told him that would be a deal breaker for me due to another issue i had a couple years ago with the post office loosing one and the crap involved and length of time it took to resolve i would never pay that way again..we agreed to venmo, i sent the money and it was almost immediately returned due to his account not being verified(should of been my first red flag but i know this happens) once that took place i told him paypal was his only choice he said ok , i sent the money,he said they would be shipped out the next day, i didnt hear from him, so the next day i sent a message asking for tracking...i got a message back about 1130pm said he had it and would sent in a min...i was in bed asleep and seen the message the next morning...i immediately new something was up ...mid morning i sent a text asking for the info, nothing, waited an hr, asked again, waited 45 min and told him he had an hr to provided me with the info i was going to have everything reversed, never got a response, called my cc company first, they told me "you didnt by $3200 worth of emotional support stuffed animals for your dog because that is what it says you bought...they started the reverse...next i called paypal and got them on it, this morning i got confirmation that they reversed the transaction....

i did not , i simply told them i didnt by 3200 worth of emotional support stuffed animals for my dog...they immediately new it was fraud(that is what they said i purchased)

Good thing they didn’t know it was a gun related transaction or you would be out your $3200. PayPal is anti gun, check their policy.

I agree,that scammer actually did you a favor by using the odd description of items bought.
If it had been declared as firearms,paypal would have punished the buyer!!

i have used paypal on prolly 20k in guns...as long as both parties never mention gun it has never been an issue...one time they called the seller and i and asked what it was for and we both said a watch...if the scammer would have been dumb enough to say it was for a gun he would of been admitting to multiple felonies which yes some are dumb enough to do ...seems like most dont understand the ways of getting around paypals bs....who else can be used as a vendor like paypal that is safe for both the buyer and seller?

The biggest flag is that he posted this in the Lounge, to get around the post count requirements. Those that joined just to scoop cheap guns better be careful, we are a forum first, to discuss Colts. Selling and buying them is not the focus of the site, and not guaranteed.
Any comments or private messages to a seller on the Lounge is just enabling them to get around the post count requirement. But people hope to "score" a deal, no matter what. If the seller is breaking the rules, that shouldn't mean member buyers should also.
Sounds like a lot of working around the rules of several systems going on here.

i just confirmed brother...premium members dont need to pad posts...premium members are exempt, there for i did absolutely nothing wrong...i am a big colt collector, and this site is full of useful information...which is why i had no problem supporting it ....

I don't want to be seen as belaboring the obvious...and maybe it's just me...but any time I see a seller specify funds to be paid in USD, I back off and think hard about it. We see very few foreign sellers on this forum, and the "U.S.Dollars" thing just makes me suspicious.
