The FAL is perhaps my all time favorite military rifle. Not that I think it was the greatest rifle ever made, or that its some super weapon. I just enjoy the heck out of shooting the FAL, I love the balance and ergonomics, and historically its such an icon of the Cold War.
Took out my wood FAL today for some iron sight 300 yard target practice. So much fun, and I really love the challenge of iron sights...I may just fail to put that scope back on. I didn't embarrass myself, and had a ton of fun.
