I was very lucky to find a NIB example several years ago while Python hunting. A form archives letter accompanied the gun, attached. Don't know what they are worth due to there being so few of them. Bright Stainless, Commander Frame, nice little pistol that is probably very collectible.

That's a beauty you've got there
I've always been a sucker for the Officers Models in all their variations. Never owned a SS model, though. Both of these are beautiful weapons!
A new BSTS Officers Model looks simply smashing in person.
Im going to see it today possibly and purchase is the moneys right:rolleyes:
Pistols like this seem to be hard to get a solid value on. I have a commanding officers model in 9mm and cannot get any solid information about it either. I think they would be geared towards specialized collectors and could end disastrous on say a penny auction on GB. Looks like a beautiful pistol and wish you the best on your pruchase prospect
Limited run and Commemoratives are in a whole different world of value. Some seek them out religiously and some avoid them. Personally, a limited run Colt would be worth acquiring IF the price wasn't in the "Python Arena" but rather somewhere in the $1000-1400 range, IMHO. That's "almost" too purty ta shoot ;) . I wish I could help with data but those are not seen often and searches turn up squat on current value. Best of luck in your decision, at least you get to see one up close :)
Maybe 3000 NIB in bright stainless. 2500 good condition.

That's a little beauty prostrok!! I've seen a few on Gunbroker but am unsure if any sold.

I've always liked the Officer's ACP size and balance, you'd enjoy the gun, I'm sure.

Thanks guys for all the input, I came up with only 350 of these? Anyone else know? Pics show that the piece looks to have scratches but he assures me it's stunning and not that way

Oh, gee. Sucker me. This is exactly what I mean. Simply exquisite! I still have one Officers LW left. Bought it LNIB in 1991. It's only a black matte finish but I just love it. Shoots great, reliable, carries well and it's the one that WON'T get away.

I would tend to agree with this estimate. Since I have one, I keep an eye out for online listings. From memory... about 5 years ago a NIB example sold on Gun Broker for $1900; about 3 years ago a like new, no box example sold on Gun Broker for $1500; about 2 years ago a NIB consecutive pair was listed on Gun Broker for $4750. This particular listing had terrible photos and there was no inspection period offered. The listing ran for about 2 months with no bids, then ended.

Yes, if you take a close look at the Archive Letter in my earlier post, you will see a reference to "350 Units".

I agree that the Bright Stainless surface can appear scratched if photographed with flash or in bright light. The one you are looking at could very well be perfect.
I've struck the deal, it'll be in my hands barring it's stunning tonight or tommorrow. Then off to market we go. Feel free to PM me if truly interested
New pics in my possession added
Thanks, the gun is virtually flawless from what little I've looked at it in person so far
