After 17 months of waiting, my new Colt revolver finally arrived. It is an SAA New Frontier 5 1/2" 45. I ordered it with one-piece ivory grips and "B" engraving. I'm happy to say it looks even better than I expected and hoped. "B" engraving is supposed to be 50% coverage and this one looks like a lot more than that. Tomorrow it's out to the range to see if it shoots as good as it looks.

It's from the Colt Custom shop. It seems they are not taking any more orders now and the rumor mill says maybe never!? Been sick lately and haven't got to the range yet, but I'll report as soon as I shoot it.

The rear sight is by Elliason and it is different from what's on my late 70s/early 80s New Frontiers.

That's nice . If you paid for B engraving then you got your money's worth. 50% ..they must count the chambers and inside the barrel too! It all looks great. Nice photos too
