I had never been very interested in the early Colt pistols until a few years ago when I read a biography of John Browning. That inspired me to ad a few more of his designs to my collection.

Here's my 1903 made in 1940 and 1908 made in 1921with a few of their contemporaries :

No, I don't. However, I hope to remedy my situation in the near future.

From the top...1925, 1922 and 1907. The one in the middle is a .380.

Ummm... No.
But you can most likely find a pistol to slide in underneath that wood.

Fabulously beautiful guns fellas! The Outdoor Channel's "Gun Stories with Joe Montegna" is now in its new season and ran this week's episode, Colt 1903 & 1908. Excellent commentary and shooting portion!

A quick snap of my two honeys... first pic together I think.

Top gun is Type II (barrel bushing and high polish finish) .380 #4936 (1910 vintage) - a gift from my stepfather in 2015. This was the first handgun I ever shot and is the last I would give up.

Bottom gun is Type III (1922) .380 #59623 - my shooter - and it is a sweet one. Extremely accurate with my mild handloads at 25 yards and puts the brass in a small pile nearby. You couldn't ask for a better all around shooter IMHO - hard to believe it's 95 years old!

I have one 1908M and one 1908 .25 auto left Ei8ht - and you aren't getting them! ;):bang_wall::cool:

I got this package from Kid Sopris years ago. It has been professionally refinished; and is a great shooter. Now you know, Ei8ht, where that holster I gifted you came from! It was shipped to Von Lengerke & Antoine in Chicago. Here's another photo of it. The medals and ribbons are mine; not really impressive, but document my 30 years in the service.
