The Magic Stump has done it again, as it always has. This place is amazing. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time, that a seemingly insignificant comment was picked up and suddenly a plan materialized, resulting in a a pleasant surprise, and a compliment to the pile appearing out of the ether.
We have seen this kind of thing on this site with a gratifying and regular frequency. For a far flung group of people whose purpose here is all things Colt and most all other things firearm culture, there is a theme of brotherhood and kindness that is scarce in the modern world. It is this ethic that propels us in ways that promote gun culture with no other bond than the desire to maintain Colts in a way that will make them available to the next bunch of guys like us. This is a great and noble mission, and gives a sense of encouragement to all who participate.
As if by some mysterious intra-dimensional shift, a pile of Magic Stump dust alerted on the presence of an incoming object. It did appear in my mailbox. Out of the blue. A really fine addition, indeed.

How much "premium" do you think the provenance from Kevin Williams added to the one(s) that just sold?
maybe $1k or more? or did it make a difference at all?

I saw crazy prices for some of Warren Buxton's (P.38 author/historian) pistols, just because they were from his collection - even stuff that wasn't in his books or even in decent shape for that matter.

Noted Authors items such as personal books or Firearms does tend to raise the Bar it seems.
Savage Pistols are also a collectable to some (ME)
and those once owned by Author Bailey Brower Jr. tend to be more expensive.
Don't ask me how I know this.
