I've looked for a good one for some time and finally found this one. It came out of a private collection from the widow after the owner died. There is about 40% blueing left with good case coloring on the frame and especially on the hammer. All serial numbers match, both cartouches are clear and complete, as is the cylinder scene, and all markings are correct. It's tight as a drum and even came with the original Military Belt Holster that protected it for generations. This one was headed to Cabelas before I heard about it and made a better offer. I wonder where they would have priced it?

Oh that is nice!

I can understand your forbearence in waiting a long time to find a 'good' one!

It payed off well.

I often linger and look at Percussion Colts at Gunshows, and, it is very very seldom I ever saw any originals which were not quite worn and down, banged up, and loose.
