I posted a while back about a friend selling a blued Government model for $500. Well, I couldn't take it any more so I made him an offer, which he accepted. The pistol is like new with box and all paper work. I plan on sending it to a Smith next week to have Better sights installed and a trigger job. I'll post pics upon its return.

congrats on your purchase.......those 1911's can get addicting. My first one started with sights and a trigger job too; then came the ambi safety, the beaver tail, the grips, another set of grips, 4 or 5 holsters, hammer, ramping, a mag drop mod., a match barrel, a hand fitted buffer, a one piece guide rod, some custom checkering....blah blah blah! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Needless to say, my $550 first gub-ba-mint turned into a $1,800+ obsession.....you can rest assured however that it is my pride and joy and that I "trust my life with it".......literally! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
