I just received 5 sets of elk grips from the nice folks at Grashorn (Pat and Rose). I have only had time to mount these, on a 1960's DS.....I love the look. On these grips only, he uses an interesting third piece/spacer, that you can set in the last picture. I will post the others as I do them; round and square J frame, 1911, New Service.......Steve

I've got three Dicks, but all have the newer shrouded barrels.
On those, I prefer the Black Pachs.

Would not mind having a nice specimen like your older style & if I did, I think I could live with elks.
Old school, visually appealing.
I'm envious.

Used to carry my first DS as an off-duty & backup in the early 80s, till my PD turned its back on it.
Still have it. The gun, not the PD.

The Pachs fill my hand better on a working gun, but if I had a classic profile like yours "just because", I could see the elks. :)

Steve, I love the comment were you say “I wish I know how many ds’s I have , I really do”
Classic, I imagine you have. Nice one or two then ! They are great, I don’t know a variation I don’t like past the shroud but I never held a sfvi or ds 2 etc.
