Updated with a couple pics. I have more.

Thanks for allowing me to join! I have found very useful information on this page in the past but didn't exactly have a need to fully join until now.
I have a 2.5", blued, 1978(that's what I was told) Python in good shape that I'd like to learn more about so that when I decide to sell it so I can give more info in the listing and ask a fair price.

I'm only now realizing that I should have already had pictures and the serial # ready but I wasn't in a rush and I will make sure to do a follow-up post in the next day or so when I can get it pulled out from the safe.
Thanks again and I look forward to learning from the vast knowledge in this group!

Very sorry for the late reply and thank you for the warm welcome! Here she is. I didn't know if I should add the pics here or to the original post so...
I've actually had her for about 15 years and she was in the (extended)family for many years before that. My Uncle told me he bought it from a retired State Trooper but I've never looked into it.
I had never considered selling her until recently so now I'm starting to try to gather more information.

Hi! Dumb question but when I went to the Python area there was an option to create a post or make a quick thread. I'm assuming I make an actual post correct? Thank you!

No such thing as a dumb question.
I've not used the "Quick Thread" option, the "Create a Post" has always worked fine for me. 🤷‍♂️
