Greetings to the Colt Forum from the Texas Hill Country.
I've been a Colt fan since the age of 16 when my Dad presented me with a 4" Blue Python some several decades ago. I'll probably read a lot more than I will post on the forum, as is my practice on the 1911 Forum and others, but I look forward to sharing in the knowledge I have already seen posted on this forum, and I thank you all in advance for sharing your expertise with me.
Stay in practice.

Welcome to our family. You're spoiled with a older Python. The older ones are the best. I've sold out of all my Pythons to raise case. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif (I'm always gun poor). You'll soon realize that there are very smart people on this board. We're always ready to help, all you have to do is ask. We all started out knowing nothing. Purchase the "Book of Colt Firearms" by Wilson/Sutherland. You won't regret it. You can buy a well used one for $100.

If I had the cash I'd buy a pre-war 1911 and yes you can shoot it. My palms sweat when I pick up a Colt masterpiece. They are truely works of art.

BTW: I'm not the only one addicted on this board. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
