Got a Colt Cobra with the stock grips. Serial # is: C878XX.

I want to put a Hogue grip I had on a DS that I foolishly got rid of a few years ago.
The DS I had was a post 72 weapon also.

The two studs at the rear of the gripframe are they pressed in. Or are they permanent as it appears they have to come out to make the grip go on and fit properly?

GrandmasterB: The one on the right. I got them pressed out and a Hogue Kingwood grip fitted and secured to the frame. Looks real, real good and it points and shoots equally well.

Yes I would sell the DS factory grips, they are in good shape with all the varnish left on. $15.00 plus 3 dollars for Priority Mail.

So your's looks like the one on the right?

The stud should tap out.

BTW, are you willing to part with your factory grips? I have been looking for a set for my Detective Special. Let me know.
