I received a package today and when I saw the return address I was a bit apprehensive, to say the least. See, I had sent a pair of Python grips to Hugh and was not expecting them to returned for for at least a month. It had only been about two weeks and I thought "Oh no--my attempt at freshening the checkering had rendered the grips a lost cause and they couldn't be salvaged." Not to worry--they had been expertly restored and are now a fine enhancement to my Officer's Model Match. Hugh is a master, as I had heard him described on this forum and I had hoped he could rescue the grips I had foolishly thought I could improve. Needless to say, he will be the go-to guy for any future grip restorations.
