Guys: Can anyone recommend a competent gunsmith for work on my old, well worn .455 New Service? It needs a new hand and has some timing "issues", which I understand is commonplace on the NS. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Charlie

There aren't many 'smiths that will, or are competent to work on the older Colt guns, but one of the best is Cylinder and Slide Shop in Nebraska.

Like all really competent Colt revolver gunsmiths, they don't work cheap, but at least the job gets done RIGHT, without the usual botch jobs less skilled people do.

Thanks, D. I found their website on the net and they do, indeed, look as if they know what they are doing with handgun repairs. I'll contact them and see if they are willing to take this old NS under their wing. Thanks again for the tip. Charlie
