Too bad you do not live around San Antonio. LGS has them for $1449 and 3" blems for $1299. Either way you will enjoy the gun
BigEasy was specifying the new 4.25” Anaconda, which are just becoming avaliable at sites that sell and list for msrp or less.

Sorry I missed the Anaconda, just saw the 4.25" which is the Python. My LGS has the Anaconda at 4", so does the American Hunter. Maybe someone could clarify, is it 4 or 4.25

It’s 4.25”. But it’s common for sellers to round it down to 4” even though its actually 4.25”.

Ironically, it's mostly not the sellers doing this. Most systems have built in drop downs for barrel length and don't have the .25 option....

Sorry to get off topic but wasn't the 4.25" thing so it could be sold in Canada, but that is worthless today.
If that was chambered in .45colt I would be all over it. I have one of the first run guns in .45colt. Such a nice revolver.

Yes, I got an email from Sportsman's Warehouse 2 days ago. Unfortunately (or not?) I ordered one on Gunbroker last week for a $1600 "buy it now". Considering they had just been released to the wild, that markup wasn't exorbitant. It was delivered to my LGS today but their FFL transfer person had left for the day, so I can't pick it up 'til tomorrow.

A shop here in Michigan I had ordered from got one in last week for me, but then tried to mark it up. I decided to pass on that (it was a long drive), so the one I bought was ordered. Turns out the Seller is a Member here, and shipped fast and already left feedback. A good experience overall so far, really been looking forward to one of these!

Thanks a lot for blowing a 44 magnum hole in my checking account. I will pick up my 4.25" Anaconda on 6/1. It will join my 6" and 8" Anacondas. Happy family.

While I should really pick up one of these, the back of my brain keeps saying wait for them to release the .45colt version. I truly hope they do. I just enjoy that caliber more.

Of course you could always load these with "a light special" (.44 Special), but I'm sure you know that 😎. I did just order some .44 Special Critical Defense rounds.

I do like 45 Colt. But it seems really light for the new massive Anaconda. I do hope they build what you want. I did see someone speculate .454 Casull. I think I also read that would also fire .45 Colt? That one might interest me.

A .454 will also chamber a .45 Colt…similar to a .357 Magnum can chamber a .38 Special but not the reverse.

The Anaconda cylinder was designed long enough to accommodate the .454 Casull which most .44/.45 cylinders won’t…forward thinking on the part of Colt designers and engineers. Whether Colt will actually produce any in the .454 chambering is an open question. They’re selling all they can build now so I doubt if it’s a priority.
