I see that another season of this show will be coming up shortly. Anybody still going to watch? As for me, I couldn't hold interest.

Oh, I will tape them & probably fast forward through parts again.
I mostly enjoyed it and looking forward to the new season. The rainy and dirty/muddy conditions in which it was filmed seemed authentic. I have to agree though, too much hollywood sometimes degenerates a good script.
I've tried several times to watch it but I can't ever seem to get through it. It seems more realistic than a lot of shows but it just doesn't have the edge and grittiness of shows like Deadwood, to me at least. I may watch when they get to Wyoming though, having interest in that area and it's history and all.
got that right

Yeh I'll be watching it. No doubt about it. Even though the depicted time is a few years too early I'll probably be twirling this Open Top replica on my finger while watching. After all, never can tell when the Swede might re-appear.

I liked the first season, but with the break until the new season started I find I am having trouble getting back into it.

Season 1 "catch up" all day Saturday. I'm not selling the show but just sayin'
I'll record it and watch it when I get around to it. If nothing else, it is a western and beats a lot of other junk on the idiot box.

The Swede will be back you know he will, that was so cool the way they ended that they have to bring him back now.

Don't you just love Hollyweird political correctness regarding race relations in 1866-68. No Black man would have had a militant attitude in this time period. Whoever wrote these scripts should be beat. It's a stupid show riddled with grave historical inaccuracies.

He'll be back and there ain't no telling when or where.

Well you better not waste any more time watching it I suppose. :bang_wall:
Without the Rifleman and Paladin, what else are we to watch? I thought the first season was good; haven't seen the second. Netflix is always a year behind. As to historical accuracy, you don't even get that on the History channel.
I lost interest and I really hate these shorter seasons with long breaks==lose interest in Hell on Wheels, The Killing, etc. SOA, Walking Dead. are hard enough to keep up with.
It's a western so how can I NOT watch it? Easy. I just couldn't get into it at all. Funny, though. I can't watch the shows my wife loves, but here's a western, Hell On Wheels, and she watches it and I don't. We can only team up on Longmire. That and Breaking Bad is it for me then it's off to the History channel type stuff.

Yeah, I watched all of the 1st season but it just seemed to get more far fetched as it went on and like Wyatt I never could get into it. I only watched a couple of episodes from season 2, and probably won't watch any of this one. I had high hopes for that show and I love westerns, but I've got to say: thumbs down.
There are Horses and gunfire and somehow I surely hope they can revive that surveyor's wife they killed off last year, so..yeah I'll watch some.

+1 on Longmire. A few more murders than normal but all-in-all not terribly inaccurate, especially the dirty politics and such. Small county departments like that can get downright rude around election time. As an FFL, I notice some inconsistencies with the gun facts, but I digress.
I'm thinking surveyor's wife (widow) was just playing possum so she wouldn't get arrested...I think, maybe?
