Hi,
I grew up in Hartford and I would always look at the Colt building as my dad would drive down I91. It was the coolest building in the area for sure.
I've had a few guns since then. My first pistol was a Walther 380 replica, but I kept having a reacurring nightmare that I would shoot a bad guy but he wouldn't drop so I decided to go with a 1911 45. A friend of mine tried to talk me out of it saying he prefured the 9mm but I thought, thats hardly bigger than the 380. I took his advice and rented a 1911 at the range and I loved it. A few months later I bought my self a great birthday present.
Anyway I recently aquired a huntsman or is it a woodsman I forget. Took it it to the range and it won't fire. later I remembered the same thing hapening to a friend and I inverted the gun and pop, it also fires when shaken. Broke it down and inspected and I dont see anything that would push the trigger disconnect up to engage the seer. So that's why I'm here now. I normally would just bring it some were to get it fixed but I was laid off in May so would like to try to save the coin and fix it myself if posible.
