Hello From Florida...

I'm a new member here, and wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Steve, and I live in St. Augustine, Florida. I'm a photographer by trade.

My father passed away recently, and he left me and my brother a number of guns. One of the ones left to me is a Colt Government Model .380 Auto. He bought it in, I believe, 1984. I've always liked this gun, so it's now become mine.

I've only ever owned one firearm in my life, a S&W .357 Magnum that I purchased (and sold) when I lived in Charleston, SC back in the 1980's. I'm retired military (Navy), where I spent 3-1/2 years as a base cop in San Diego, which is where I got my formal firearms training.

Anyway, as a new owner, I thought I would find some like-minded individuals.

Welcome to the Forum, Steve. First, thank you for your Naval career in service to our great nation! Second, you've found THE place for "like-minded individuals." We all love Colts (and everything else we own) and cherish our 2A rights as well. And now that you have Dad's Colt GM, you've no doubt got a family heirloom to pass down and also a great start on the inevitably growing Colt stable.
