gun is at 95% serial number 70BS53001 2 mags, no box or papers...

With the serial number you posted the question might be better ask is it a pre 70's. If it's a Collet bushing, that should be a clue.

Looks like it was made in about 1977. The extra magazine helps the value. Assuming original stocks, I would guesstimate the value at about $950. The 9mms can sometimes be a hard sell. It seems that more buyers want the .45 ACP. As always, JMHO.

to the best of my knowledge the commanders never had a collet bushing.

and i agree that by the ser# i don't believe it's a pre 70series, it's a 70series.
