Does anyone know anything about this? I can't find any record of High Standard making a Colt 45 model of 1911. Thanks in advance for any information you have!

It seems like I read that the High Standard 1911's were manufactured by ARMSCOR in the Philippines. It is the same gun as the Rock Island Armory 1911.

As above High Standard was bought by a Houston based company after the original company went out of business.
For some years they marketed newly made versions of most of their .22 target pistols, and an imported 1911 type pistol made by Armscor in the Philippines.
They also sold AK type rifles and AR type rifles.
They made or sold a number of firearms under the Mitchell name.

They appear to be selling at least several HS Target pistols and are selling parts for various firearms and offer repairs and parts for the HS .22's.
