Hello from the West Coast---sadly, we have sucky gun laws here (Kalifornia)---but that never stopped me. I like Colts and have owned several over the years---probably the best was a satin stainless Python 6" that somehow got sold in a very weak moment (damn). I also owned a Colt Sharpes (243), and a Commerical pre-series 70 1911 45---but those are gone also. My current Colt inventory consists of three single-action revolvers---two real nicely fitted 3rd gen. 44 Specials (4 3/4" & 5 1/2") that have been slightly tweaked to shoot to point of aim and a little Peacemaker 22lr/22mag plinking revolver. Pretty happy with these three.
That's all for now...

Welcome to the Forum, jyo. Always nice to have another "Kalifornia" freedom fighter on board. Keep up the good fight! I'd say most members here have pangs of regret about the Colts that got away in a misspent youth. I count myself as one of them. Anyways, enjoy the Colt addiction here!

Yeah, regret selling that Python---really nice revolver---I was heavy into pig hunting at the time after a period of rifle hunting (Browning BLR 308 with 180 grain bullets), I thought I'd try handgun hunting with the Python 357. Naturally, the first hog I encountered (at VERY close range) was the biggest one I had ever seen. Long story short, that beast did not respond well to the 357---took a lot of rds and a bit of running before he was ready to turn into BBQ---sold the 357, bought a 44 loaded with 300 grain bullets handloaded to about 1,300 fps. I thought I could pick-up another Python later---didn't happen...
