Hello guys I am a new member here and just wanted to say Hi. I am a Georgia native and was blessed to be born in the great state of Georgia and brought up with a love for shooting, hunting and fishing by a wonderful father and family! I own a military issue 1942 1911M1A and recently just purchased a Colt defender in .45 ACP of course. Big 1911 and .45 fan hope to learn some things and hopefully have some of you Colt experts answer some questions for me as well.

Hi and welcome to the Colt Forum. I saw your other post and you are right in calling Colt's Monday with your serial number. They can give you a manufacturing date. 800-962-COLT (2658)
